Moon Landing 50: A PAS Monthly Lecture

Last July 20, 2019, over 400 inquisitive people attended Moon Landing 50: A PAS Monthly lecture in celebration of the 50th anniversary of this important milestone. The participants actively listened to the lectures of our speakers on the facts and history behind the Apollo 11 mission, space food and nutrition, and the future of spaceflight.

National Astronomy Week 2019

As declared by former Philippine president, Fidel V. Ramos, through Proclamation No. 130, the third week of February is known as the National Astronomy Week. Along with Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Association or PAGASA, Philippine Astronomical Society, Inc. or PAS has actively promoted the field of Astronomy since 1993. Through their series of free lectures, stargazing camps, and competitions for elementary and high school students, the Filipino youth have gained a better understanding of our planet Earth and the universe.

April Milky Way Camp 2019

Navigating the sky through our invisible ship took us to our beloved Luna – reminding us that it is worthy to reflect the light of positivity to pave paths for others. We have sailed our eyes through varies stars and planets away from us by distance, but not by heart. They are, without a doubt, our neighbors in a community strengthened by the gravity of our attraction to the beauty of diversity in space.

PAS Eta Aquariids 2019
